Getting ready for the BIG party

There is a lot of planning to do for a 1st birthday party! We can't forget the balloons, the presents, the food, the drinks, and oh yeah... our birthday girl!

Lauren's birthday cake

Lauren got to have her very own birthday cake and eat it too! She wasn't really sure what she was supposed to do with a cake infront of her, but it didn't take her long to figure it out. Happy 1st Birthday to my sweet little Lauren Jean!

MFD's new ladder truck

This is the new ladder truck that the City of Midland purchased in 2009. I am proud to say that Dad was one of the first to drive it!

Fill the Boot 2009

Lauren had a fun afternoon with her PaPa at Fill the Boot helping raise money for muscular dystrophy. We were proud of her! Lauren brought in a little money with people stopping to give her a dollar to put in PaPa's boot. She also enjoyed watching the cars drive by. You can tell she was worn out by the time I got her in her car seat. Look at those red cheeks. It was hot outside!

Our Softball Superstar

This is Samantha, our youngest neice. She played softball for MUGS this summer and we had lots of fun going out to watch her. We put Lauren in the stroller and off we went with the rest of the Jones family fan club. We are so proud of you Samantha!

My very own pool

The reason it is Lauren's very own pool is because no one else can fit in it. The Easter bunny brought this to Lauren and she is trying it out for the first time. We even let the water warm in the pool while we ate lunch so that it would be perfect to sit and splash. She loves her pool! After pool time Lauren decided to help Nana water the flowers.
